October 20 - December 12, 2024

EIGHT WEEK COED PROGRAM

  • The Coed program offers the opportunity for both female and male clients to interact and utilize their effective communication skills in a positive, healthy and safe environment.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Over the course of 8 weeks, the clients will participate in various workshops and activities to assist them with becoming more effective listeners and communicators as well as the opportunity to interact with each other in a positive, healthy and safe environment. Workshops and activities are delivered by staff utilizing their formal and informal training as well as their experiential knowledge. Methods of workshop delivery and content are conventional in scope, however where possible a cultural approach is used so as to make the content more relevant. Each week clients will be provided the opportunity to participate in the sweat lodge ceremony as well as drumming and singing, clients are encouraged to bring their drums and to share their songs with the group and in the sweat lodge.


January 5 - 16, 2025

TWO WEEK REFRESHER PROGRAM

  • The Refresher program is offered as the first program of each new year and is designed for those former clients to come and reacquaint themselves or learn new tools to assist them along their healing journey.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Former clients coming in for the Refresher will become familiarized with some of the workshops and tools designed to further assist them along their healing journey. Those former clients are also encouraged to talk about their successes and even failures, how they worked with those successes and failures as opportunities to learn and to share with others. Through the process of sharing and participating all clients will learn more grounding tools as well as reaffirming they are not alone on their journey and when needed can draw upon a vast network of fellow clients for support and continued support from Wilp Si'Satxw staff.


January 19 - February 27, 2025

SIX-WEEK WOMEN’S HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAM

  • The Women's Health and Wellness Program is designed to help women participants rediscover and empower themselves.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Female participants in this program will take part in various workshops, as well as activities to help develop and build tools to assist them on their healing journey, these tools will also assist with the developing of healthy behaviour patterns and coping mechanisms. The program is designed to be highly interactive as well as both fun and serious utilizing the skills and experiential knowledge of all staff of Wilp Si'Satxw in the delivery of workshops that are both conventional and traditional in nature. The main spiritual component of the program is the weekly sweatlodge ceremony along with the morning drumming and singing, clients are encouraged to bring their own drums and share their songs.


March 2 - April 24, 2025

May 4 - June 26, 2025

EIGHT WEEK IRS PROGRAM

  • The IRS program has been established to assist those survivors of Residential School, Day School, and Sixties Scoop, along with their children and generations since to learn how to work with the trauma and end the destructive cycle of alcohol and drug abuse.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Clients entering into this program are those survivors of Indian Residential school, as well as Day School and Sixties Scoop along with the generations of children who have been impacted and experiencing the generational trauma resulting from parents and grandparents having attended these imposed institutions. Where possible, Workshops are delivered with a cultural lens and a primary focus on breaking the cycle of alcohol and drug abuse through understanding the impacts of generational trauma, recognizing behavioural patterns, triggers and how to work with those in a more positive, healthy and safe manner.


June 29 - August 21, 2025

SIX WEEK MEN’S HEALTH & WELLNESS

  • This program focuses on issues that are faced by men in recovery.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Topics such as anger management, relationships, identity and co-dependency are examined. By having only Men in the program, it lends itself to an environment where comfort levels are higher creating space for participants to have in-depth, difficult conversations.
